ABOUT THE HOSPITAL
St. Vincent De Paul Hospital is a Christian minority institution established by the Nirmala Province, Thrissur of the Congregation of the Mother Carmel (CMC). In 1982, Archbishop Mar Joseph Kundukulam inaugurated our journey — and we have been focused ever since on delivering diligent care to the poorer sections of society.
What began as a humble health centre with 20 beds has grown into a 100-bedded multispecialty hospital with Operation Theatre, ICU, Laboratory, 24-hour Casualty, Scanning Centre, and comprehensive radiology services. We also impart training in medical, paramedical, and nursing care.
In 2007 we celebrated our Silver Jubilee. Today we remain committed to standardized nursing care, nursing education, palliative care, and health education for the residents of this region — irrespective of caste, creed, race, or religion.
The hospital was named after St. Vincent De Paul, who dedicated his life to serving the poor. His spirit guides our mission: to facilitate the healthcare ministries of Jesus to the suffering segment of society with compassion, dignity, and medical excellence.

St. Vincent De Paul Hospital has been committed to excellence of care for sick people irrespective of caste, creed, or religion since its existence in 1982. Today healthcare has grown beyond our imagination. The trends and technologies in healthcare are transforming medical services at a rapid pace. The challenge is to continue providing quality healthcare at an affordable cost despite the ever-increasing cost of equipment and medical staff.
At St. Vincent De Paul Hospital, we are united in our determination to continue our steady efforts so that we can provide highly advanced, affordable medical care that is safe, secure, and supportive — in a manner that rises up to the expectations of patients and the wider community, based on the ethics of medical care, medical science, and nursing.
A team of talented, caring doctors, competent, compassionate nurses, and skillful technical and support staff are working together with a holistic approach to provide the best possible medical and nursing care. We are introducing innovative ideas to train our students — nursing and allied health workers — to be competent, socially relevant, and filled with the passion to serve in the Spirit of Christ, and our heavenly patron, St. Vincent De Paul.
Our vision is to bring hope and healing with the love of Christ to the people. We care to cure with a holistic approach!
